Privacy policy
This covers what we collect when you ask for a price, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Last updated 23 September 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by UNGROW, a specialist roof treatment business in Perth, Western Australia. In this policy, UNGROW means "we", "us" and "our". We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need to price your job and carry it out:
- What you give us. Your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property you want treated.
- What you tell us about the roof. Anything you add about the growth, the access or the property.
- How you found us. The page you arrived on, the site or ad that sent you, and standard technical details your browser sends, including your IP address.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details through this website.
3. How we collect it
Almost always because you typed it into the price form or told us on the phone. The address field uses Google Places to suggest addresses as you type, so what you type into that field is sent to Google to return the suggestions.
4. Why we use it
To give you a price, to book and carry out the treatment, to take the fixed photograph your guarantee relies on, to check the roof again at the twelve month mark, and to contact you about your own job. We also use it to understand which advertising is working, so we spend less on reaching the wrong people.
5. Cookies and advertising
This site runs the Meta pixel, which is how we measure whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising is working. When you submit the form it can share limited information with Meta, including a hashed version of your email or phone number, your IP address and the fact that a price request happened. Hashing means Meta receives a scrambled value rather than your actual address or number.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and Meta lets you control ad personalisation in your account settings. Blocking cookies may change how parts of this site behave. We do not run Google Analytics on this site.
6. Who else sees it
Your details go into our customer records system so we can quote and schedule the work. Beyond that we share personal information only with people who need it to deliver your job or to run the business, such as the crew attending your property and our accounting and IT providers, and where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent contact lists.
7. Where it is held
Some of the services we use, including Meta and Google, store and process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.
8. Marketing
If we send you anything beyond your own job, every message carries a way to stop it, and we act on that. Replying STOP to a text is enough. Opting out never affects the work we do for you or your guarantee.
9. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We restrict access to the people who need it and use reputable providers with their own security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. We keep your information while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as we need it to stand behind the guarantee and meet our record keeping obligations, then we remove it.
10. Seeing it and correcting it
You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to fix anything wrong. Call us on 0468 000 997. We may need to confirm who you are first. There is no charge for asking.
11. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us and we will look into it and come back to you. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes
If this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top.
